BiblioPlan Cool Histories are one- or two-page weekly assignment sheets designed to test your children’s understanding of each week’s history and geography study. There is one set of Cool Histories for each of BiblioPlan’s four Years of study. Each set of Cool Histories includes 34 assignment sheets that correspond to BiblioPlan’s 34-week Guides, Companions, and Map assignment sheets.

There are (or will be) three types of Cool Histories for three overlapping age groups:

  1. Cool History for Littles, Grades K-2 (Now available for Ancients; other years coming in Fall 2012)
  2. Cool History for Middles, Grades 2-7 (Available for all four Years)
  3. Cool History for Advanced, Grades 7-12 (Now available for Ancients; other years coming in Fall 2012)

Cool History for Littles, Grades K-2
Each Cool History for Littles assignment page contains five parts: Questions from the Readings, Giants of the Faith, Coloring Page, Cool Hands on Activities and Globe Fun.

  • Questions from the Readings: These questions are based on the readings from the BiblioPlan Companion and the Bible. All of the answers to the Questions from the Readings are available in the BiblioPlan Answer Key, which is free with any Bundle purchase.
  • Giants of the Faith: The BiblioPlan Companions for Years 1 and 2 highlight dozens of Giants of the Faith, figures from Christian history whose deeds have demonstrated their exceptional faith. Each Cool History assignment page mentions every Giant of the Faith covered during that Week’s study. The Cool History for Littles package includes a template that allows your student to build a Giants of the Faith book filled with pictures and summaries of the lives of these Giants.
  • Coloring Page: The coloring page lets you know which pictures from the BiblioPlan Coloring Book (sold separately) are appropriate for each Week’s study.
  • Cool Hands-On Activities: Cool Hands-On Activities are family oriented, easy to do and fun! We have chosen these Cool Hands-On Activities to correspond with the readings, the time period and/or the region under study for each particular Week in order to provide a concrete experience that will help fix the lesson in the student’s mind.
  • Globe Fun: Globe Fun introduces your little ones to the study of geography. Most weeks of the BiblioPlan Companion include a GEOGRAPHY FOCUS section. Globe Fun chooses the simpler parts of these geography lessons and presents them for your young students. Globe Fun uses plenty of repetition and review to fix basic geography in your students’ minds.
